PolyP-2025, the third international Conference on Polyphosphate Biology, was held in the Kahn Auditorium at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, from May 20-23, 2025.
PolyP-2025 built on the successes of the two previous polyphosphate workshops, held in 2015 in London, UK, and in 2023 in Cádiz, Spain. By bringing together scientists investigating varied aspects of polyphosphate biology — from microorganisms to the global phosphorus cycle to human health and disease — PolyP-2025 promoted the exchange of information and ideas, fostered collaborations, and help introduce the next generation of polyphosphate biologists to this fascinating, important, and under-studied topic. Taking place over 3.5 days, PolyP-2025 featured talks from a diverse selection of invited speakers, eleven oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts, and daily poster sessions.Organizing committee: Maria Solesio (Rutgers), Jim Morrissey, Ursula Jakob, Stephanie
Smith (Univ. Michigan), Sidney Omelon (McGill Univ.), Henning Jessen (Univ. Freiburg)
